TENETS
Scholarship
The ultimate goal of every Butterfly is to achieve academic excellence and overall self improvement. Our siblings are encouraged to always put their academics first so they can achieve success after graduating. As an organization, we provide many resources to our siblings so that they can reach that level of success and have a space where they can share their triumphs and challenges.
Sisterhood
Each of our siblings brings something unique to our chapter, and we provide a space where anyone can be themselves without judgement. We strive for a supportive, loving, and warm environment where our siblings can grow individually as well as learn more about each other. We empower one another to do things out of our comfort zones but also provide a family. We are each other s biggest cheerleaders and support through hardship. Our sisterhood lasts more than just the four years of college but for all of our lives.
Service
Social justice and service is a vital aspect to our organization,and we are constantly trying to give back to our communities whether it is participating in service projects, providing aid through donations, and bringing awareness to social injustices. We are constantly learning about our diverse communities to not only give back to them, but also achieve self improvement.
Leadership
The siblings of Theta Nu Xi are leaders throughout not only our chapter, but also campus and nationwide. We try to take up space in all rooms we step in and work to empower others to do the same. Through leadership, we hope to bring a difference to our communities and advocate for issues in our campus, state, and country. We hope to grow as individuals in our leadership positions and become the best versions of ourselves.
Multiculturalism
Theta Nu Xi is founded on the base of multiculturalism to discover, appreciate, and understand in all ways people are different from each other. We hope to bring together all people of all races, cultures, religion, nationality, socioeconomic class, sexual orientation, and political ideology so that we can learn and empower one another. In our organization, we create an environment open to all so that all siblings are comfortable within their differences from each other but also promote multiculturalism in our everyday lives.
